The A10 Great Cambridge Road cuts through the middle of Enfield, linking the North Circular with the M25 at junction 25. East of it lie Edmonton, Ponders End and Enfield Lock, with industrial estates along the Lee Valley; west of it are the leafier suburbs of Southgate, Winchmore Hill and Enfield Town.
Because the borough borders Hertfordshire, many Enfield drivers cross in and out of London daily. That makes the ULEZ particularly relevant here for older cars.
In the western suburbs most cars are on drives. In Edmonton and the eastern side, on-street parking is more common, with controlled zones near the stations. Either way, the car is collected free, and the driver only needs a clear spot to stop.
